Pulse 9/29/13

Pulse

This weekend was Big Weekend, during which we attended worship times at First Baptist and had discussion and time to hang out in our host homes.  The focus of Big Weekend was “Red Revolution: Seeing the World Through the Lens of Christ”.  We will continue leading students down this path of seeing the world with Christ’s eyes by using the same focus for the next 4 weeks.

This week’s lesson emphasized that seeing the world through the lens of Christ will lead one to be an optimist (hopeful) and realist (sorrowful).  An essay about the same topic can be found here.

Announcements

-We have fully begun small groups.  2 female small groups and 2 male small groups have formed.  We believe small groups are a great place for students to really plug in, be held accountable, have questions answered, and share life with other Christians.  Please contact Ben or Bo if you would like to join a small group.

Youth group is meeting in the Worship Center from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Tuesday nights.  We play games and just generally enjoy each other’s company.  Students are free to drop in at any time throughout the night.
